About ÉIMSL
L'Équipe d'intervention médicale de Saint-Lazare is an independent organization providing emergency medical services (EMS)for the Ville de Saint-Lazare, Quebec. We provide first aid standby at Ville de Saint Lazare events. We offer an educational program that includes accredited CPR and first aid instruction. EIMSL is also accredited to provide first responder service by the Agence de la santé et des service sociaux de la Montérégie.
We are a fully volunteer team of approximately 30 members. Our members bring a range of experiences, from nursing and paramedic to management and training. We are engineers, professors, stay-at-home mothers, scuba divers, soccer coaches, and, we are EMS providers.
In the Montérégie region of Quebec, first responders and ambulances are dispatched by the same central agency, called Alerte Santé. Calls for emergency medical assistance are prioritized by Alerte Santé, who then dispatches Saint-Lazare's first responders to the highest priority calls.
